While working in the juvenile justice system, visionary leaders, Allen M. Graham and Carlton Ferguson, Jr., designed and began to test innovative behavioral modifacation strategies with non-violent, first-time youth offenders.
Seeing impressive results in the young men they worked with, they were inspired to create an organization that, using both prevention and intervention activities, would address the root-cause issues that would profoundly change the outcomes for youth throughout Maryland.
Founded in 2007 as an intervention program for youth, T.H.U.G.S., Inc. is a non-religious charity that does not discriminate based on religion (or non-religion) or promote one particular worldview.
